Hearing Assessment

Hearing evaluation is done by an Audiologist. It involves a few tests which estimate the level of hearing in each ear and the health of the middle ear. In some of the tests, you may need to listen carefully and respond accordingly and in others, you just have to sit quietly while the test is conducted. We conduct Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) in our clinics along with Otoscopy.

After undergoing such an evaluation, the audiologist will be able to tell you if you have a hearing loss or not, whether both your ears are affected or only one, and how severe the hearing loss is. In certain cases, it could also indicate the causative factors responsible for the hearing impairment. After going over the test results with you, the audiologist will recommend various treatment options and you will be able to discuss and choose which hearing solution suits you the best.

You will receive a report with an audiogram that will mention the type of hearing loss and the degree of hearing loss.
